BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Genesis 13:5-15:21; Matthew 5:27-48; Psalm 6:1-10; Proverbs 1:29-33
FIRE SCRIPTURE: Genesis 18: 9-19 (KJV)
9 Then they said to him, “Where is Sarah your wife?” So he said, “Here, in the tent.”
10 And He said, “I will certainly return to you according to the time of life, and behold, Sarah your wife shall have a son.” (Sarah was listening in the tent door which was behind him.)
11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old, well advanced in age; and Sarah had passed the age of childbearing.
12 Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, “After I have grown old, shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?”
13 And the Lord said to Abraham, “Why did Sarah laugh, saying, ‘Shall I surely bear a child, since I am old?’
14 Is anything too hard for the Lord? At the appointed time I will return to you, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.”
15 But Sarah denied it, saying, “I did not laugh,” for she was afraid. And He said, “No, but you did laugh!”
16 Then the men rose from there and looked toward Sodom, and Abraham went with them to send them on the way.
17 And the Lord said, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am doing,
18 since Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?
19 For I have known him, in order that he may command his children and his household after him, that they keep the way of the Lord, to do righteousness and justice, that the Lord may bring to Abraham what He has spoken to him.”

MFM DAILY DEVOTIONAL 6TH JANUARY 2025
The Bible affirms that what is impossible with men is possible with God. When you give God His rightful place of pre-eminence in your life and affairs, He will not only do wonders but make the impossible become possible for you.
God is sovereign, omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent. His wisdom is more profound than the depth of the sea. In fact, He is the only wise God. All you need to do is to make Him your Lord, Saviour and all. You have to demonstrate unwavering faith in His ability to do all things. You should also cry to Him for help. He will intervene, come through for you and turn your situation around for good.
When you put your trust absolutely in God and do not turn to the right or left, neither do you go to Egypt for help or trust in the arm of the flesh or in horses and chariots, but you look unto Him as the Author and Finisher of your faith, He will arise and give you your desired miracle and testimony. It doesn’t matter how bad your case or situation is. It doesn’t also matter how long you have been confronted or plagued with the challenge or affliction. It doesn’t matter if it is spiritual, generational, self-inflicted or otherwise. When God’s mercy and grace speak for You and the Most High intervenes, the devil and his demons will pack their load and leave you alone. Your turnaround will become evident and
God’s glory will manifest in your life.
Abraham and Sarah held on to God who had promised them a destiny child. Decades had gone without receiving the promise, but the Bible says that Abraham did not stagger in faith. He believed that God who had promised was able to fulfil His promise in their lives. This couple gave God His place of pre-eminence and God gave them the promised child when Abraham was 100 and Sarah 90 years old.
Beloved, have faith in God. Give Him pre-eminence in your life. Obey His word and live in His will. He will make you to spend your days in pleasure and your years in prosperity. His presence will be with you always. He will fight your battles and turn whatever the enemy brings against you to a testimony.

1. My Father, I give You pre-eminence in every area of my life, in the name of Jesus,
2. Father, I declare that You are my ever-present help at all times, in the name of Jesus.
3. Father, let Your mercy and grace always speak for me, in the name of Jesus.

4. O God, as I give You pre-eminence in my life, empower me to take my rightful place in life and destiny, in the name of Jesus.
5. O God, as I give You pre-eminence in my life, come and make the impossible possible for me, in the name of Jesus.
6. O God, as I give You pre-eminence in my life, give me great joy and let all people rejoice with me, in the name of Jesus.
7. O God, as I give You pre-eminence in my life, let my mockery and shame turn to glory, in the name of Jesus.
