When God wants to fight for His children uses the law of divine substitution. Our memory verse for today is a scriptural affirmation of this truth. Divine substitution is not only when the righteous comes out of trouble and wicked goes into it. It is also when the wicked in high places are tormenting God’s children and God fights for His children so the wicked in power is removed and God’s child or children are used to replace him.
David had been a blessing to Saul’s kingdom. When the Philistines threatened Saul’s reign and Goliath roared against his kingdom, David to defeat the enemies and bring glory to the God of Israel as well as peace to Saul and the army. Yet Saul grew envious of David’s achievements the praise showed on him. He sought to kill David. In the end, it was Saul who died miserably and David reigned in his stead.
Haman plotted against the Jews. He hated Mordecai and his people with perfect hatred. His plot backfired because God intervened to save his children, the Jews. The gallows Haman built to kill Mordecai with was what he used to hang himself. The Jews were miraculously delivered as the king’s command for their destruction was reversed. Evil decree for your hurt shall be reversed, in the name of Jesus.
Our Fire Scripture for today reveals how Daniel’s enemies plotted against him and got the king to make a decree concerning Daniel’s prayer life. The simple truth is that Daniel’s rise and progress in Babylon made those people envious and engendered the conspiracy. With their vilipend cunning, they manipulated the king and got Daniel thrown into the den of lions. The lions could not devour Daniel because God sent His angel to shut their mouths. When the king saw the miraculous deliverance of Daniel, he praised Daniel’s God. Those who conspired against Daniel ended up being devoured by the same lions that spared Daniel.
Beloved, the God of Daniel is still alive. He is your God. Your part of the deal is to be born again and live in His will. Any power that plots to harm you or kill you shall die in your place, in the name of Jesus.
