MFM Daily Devotional Message Tuesday 21st April 2026.
Today, we are looking at the qualities of an effective soul-winner. Ecclesiastes 9:10 says, “Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.”Our God demands excellence in whatever we do. Therefore, if you would be a soul-winner, be an effective one. Endeavour to make your mark in the ministry of soul-winning if you must get involved.
The question is, what qualifies you to be an effective soul-winner? The first and most important qualification is new birth. The effective soul-winner himself must be born again. It is commonly said that you cannot give what you do not have. He must be Spirit-filled. No one can do the work of the Master without the power of the Holy Spirit. 1 Samuel 2:9 says, “By strength shall no man prevail.” It is the Holy Spirit that convicts us of sin, not the evangelists. It is by the Holy Spirit that a man can declare that Jesus is Lord, according to 1 Corinthians 12:3. So, you need the power of the Holy Spirit to be successful in soul-winning. The Bible records in Acts 11:26 that the apostles were first called Christians in Antioch. The people of Antioch easily knew who they were by mere observation.
Beloved, even now, Christians are the Bible that many people are reading.
It simply means that one way you can also effectively win souls is through your attitude and behaviour. The believers in Antioch behaved in a certain way that made it evident that they followed Christ. Are you Christ-like in your attitude and behaviour? If your answer is no, it is quite doubtful if you can win anyone for Christ. The best way to win over a lost person to Christ is to let him see Christ in you.

- Lord, by Your power, I shed every worldliness in me, in the name of Jesus.
- Lord, let Your hand of power and fire rest on me continually, in the name of Jesus.
