Exodus 15:1–11 (CSB)
Then Moses and the Israelites sang this song to the Lord. They said:
I will sing to the Lord, for he is highly exalted; he has thrown the horse and its rider into the sea.
The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.
This is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.
The Lord is a warrior; the Lord is his name.
He threw Pharaoh’s chariots and his army into the sea; the elite of his officers were drowned in the Red Sea.
The floods covered them; they sank to the depths like a stone.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Thursday 20th November 2025.
God gives new songs to His children both in the day and in the night (Job 35:10). God expects His children to sing new songs when there is a new occasion of triumph and whenever they experience His intervention—salvation, deliverance, healing, divine provision, breakthrough and preservation. That is why the memory verse enjoins us tosing unto the Lord a new song, for He has done marvellous things.
Our Fire Scripture paints a vivid picture of Israel’s reaction after their dramatic deliverance from 430 years of Egyptian bondage. A whole nation had been enslaved for generations, and the strong man Pharaoh refused to release them until God intervened powerfully. He liberated His people and drowned Pharaoh and his hosts in the Red Sea. In response, the Israelites lifted a new song to their Deliverer.
You too will sing a new song in Jesus’ Name.
In Exodus 15:21, Miriam echoed the same joy, saying, “Sing ye to the Lord, for he hath triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.”
A new song is the product of divine visitation. It is birthed by God’s wonderful works among men. Whenever God does the incredible—unsearchable miracles, victories, provision, healing—people naturally respond with new songs of praise.
Judges 5 records the song of Deborah and Barak after divine victory. David, Israel’s greatest king, wrote many new songs throughout his life, and he never lost a single battle. Hannah sang a new song when God opened her womb. Mary offered the Magnificat in response to being chosen for Heaven’s greatest assignment.
Beloved, you will sing a new song!

O Lord, make me a candidate of Your wondrous works throughout my lifetime, in the Name of Jesus.

4. Father, as You put a new song in David’s mouth, arise and put new songs in my mouth and in my family today, in the Name of Jesus.
