MFM Daily Devotional Message Monday 17th February 2025.
One of the things God is asking from His children is supreme love. Nothing gladdens the heart of the Father as much as when a believer sets God as a loving seal upon his heart. Setting your love on God entails giving Him the first place in all that you do, committing yourself to living everyday by His standards in all things, giving your utmost to Him and loving Him supremely on a daily basis.
God expects you to love Him supremely above everything in this world. Unfortunately, the devil has fashioned different beggarly objects and enticements to sway the hearts of many from loving God profoundly. This is really a challenge in Christendom today. Too many Christians have set their love on different kinds of strange objects, which usually serve as instruments of pollution and defilement. The truth is that you can either set your love on God or on other things that will rob you of eternal life.
As a Christian, you can set your love on the world, its fashion, tradition, standards, principles, practices, dressing, pursuits, and preferences. All these worldly trappings are totally contrary to the standards of heaven and the principles of God. The devil concocted all these elements as recipes for eternal damnation. That is why we are warned not to love the world, neither the things that are in it (1 John 2:15). Painfully, there are many Christians who have set their love on this world and are labouring assiduously every day to outrun others in the school of worldliness. I believe your own case is different by the grace of God.
What have you set your love upon? Is it on God or on the world? You need to know that setting your love on God is the key to your victory in every facet of your life. You are expected to love God with the whole of your heart, soul, strength and mind. Do not allow anything to reduce your love for God.
