FIRE SCRIPTURE – Luke 4:1-13
- Then Jesus, being filled with the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
- Being tempted for forty days by the devil. And in those days He ate nothing, and afterward, when they had ended, He was hungry.
- And the devil said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.”
- But Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.’”
- Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
- And the devil said to Him, “All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish.
- Therefore, if You will worship before me, all will be Yours.”
- And Jesus answered and said to him, “Get behind Me, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.’”
- Then he brought Him to Jerusalem, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down from here.
- For it is written: ‘He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you,’
- And, ‘In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.’”
- And Jesus answered and said to him, “It has been said, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’”
- Now when the devil had ended every temptation, he departed from Him until an opportune time.
MEMORY VERSE – 1 Corinthians 10:13
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Sunday 16th March 2025.
Temptation is an instrument of cruelty that has crushed many glorious destinies. The devil has never been a joker and will never be. He is highly strategic in his fight against Christians. Unfortunately, many Christians are toying with temptations. A lot of believers have become shadows of their old selves because of the fatal blow that temptation dealt them. Many have caved in; they are just like empty shells because they couldn’t overcome the temptation that hit them. Some believers have faded away, some have lost their glorious destinies because of temptation. Some ministries which used to be very powerful and highly impactful have been paralyzed by the sting of temptation.
Beloved, being tempted is not a sin in itself but yielding is sinful. Are you facing any form of temptation? Are you losing the battle against temptation? You don’t have to lose hope, you can overcome. You need to understand that every temptation you overcome will open a greater door of honour for you to walk through. However, you must know that temptation can come from your weakest area. It can come when you are most vulnerable. It can even come at your time of comfort. Temptation can come in time of need. It can also come from legitimate desires. It can come when you allow your heart to be overwhelmed by covetousness. Temptation can come when you fail to guard your heart with all diligence and you start entertaining impure thoughts; and by also allowing evil imagination to capture your heart. Temptation can come from unwholesome relationships; also from friends and relatives. Anything not properly handled can become a source of temptation.
The good news is that you can overcome temptation. How? By filling your heart with the Word of God. By watching and praying more than ever before. Then, you have to run away from anything, anyone, or any association that may stir up negative feelings within you. Discipline your eyes, your ears and your thought pattern. Lastly, give yourself completely to the Holy Spirit.

MORNING
- Anointing that destroys the work of darkness, fall upon me, in the name of Jesus.
- Anointing that frustrates the tempter, fall upon me, in the name of Jesus.
- Every wicked hand lifted to smite me, wither, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
- Dark voice from the pit of hell, calling my name for demotion, be silenced, in the name of Jesus.
- Instrument of temptation from the pit of hell, assigned against my life, die, in the name of Jesus.
- Blood of Jesus, fortify my spirit man, in the name of Jesus.
- Glory of God, overshadow my life, in the name of Jesus.
