The Topic of MFM (Mountain Top Life) Daily Devotional for 14th April 2025 Is ”SAY NO TO HATRED”.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Joshua 9:3-10:43, Luke 16:19-17:10, Psalm 83:1-18, Proverbs 13:4

FIRE SCRIPTURE: 1 John 4:15-21

15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
19 We love him, because he first loved us.
20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?
21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

MEMORY VERSE: Psalm 97:10

Ye that love the Lord, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
Owe no one nothing but to love them.

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY:
The love of God shall reign in your heart today and always, in the name of Jesus.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Monday 14th April 2025.

Hatred is an extreme dislike or disgust for someone or something. Hatred is behind most of man’s inhumanity to fellow man. Hatred is evil in all its ramifications. Oftentimes, people hate one another for reasons that are beyond their control. That is why we have vices such as racism, tribalism, misogyny, envy, jealousy, etc. Hatred is such an intense negative emotion that can lead to hurting others so badly if it is left unchecked.

It can even lead to murder. It must not be found among Christians. 1 John 4:20 says, “If a man says, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?” Christianity is about love; therefore, anything that negates love is quite contrary to what Christianity stands for. Hatred is the opposite of love and as followers of Christ, we must stand firmly against it and embrace love, mercy, and compassion. To effectively deal with hatred, we must understand its root. Hatred often stems from fear, ignorance, and a lack of understanding.

When we fail to see the inherent dignity and worth of every individual, we make room for the seeds of hatred to take root in our hearts. Yet, as followers of Christ, we are called to embrace the path of love. It is love that can help us to overcome hatred. Romans 12:21 reminds us, “Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.” Hatred cannot drive out hatred; only love can do that. We must actively fight hatred with acts of kindness, forgiveness, and understanding. God created each of us in His image, so we are all unique and precious in His sight. We must then appreciate one another rather than allowing our differences to become sources of strife and division (Galatians 3:28). Say no to hatred!
