5 And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him:
6 For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.
7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.
9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?
10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.
11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Sunday 10th August 2025.
We are still looking at the beautiful side of pain and painful situations. To a baker, it does not come easy to bring out a beautiful cake. The dough must necessarily pass through the hot furnace. The goldsmith does a lot of heating and shaping with his tough instruments to bring about an attractive jewellery. In the same vein, it is not easy to bring out certain qualities in a man until there has been some levels of discomfort or pain.
Sometimes, the pain you are experiencing has nothing to do with your personal desire, rather, it is according to God’s will for you at that particular time. This often comes with some degrees of discomfort because it is a situation you would not normally want to go through. An example is when the Lord decides to take you through a process of brokenness leading to a changed personality with godly habits, behaviours and more. A Christlike character that depicts nothing but godliness in every area of life and relationship with others. All in a bid to make you a true and sincere son or daughter of His. The truth is that these credentials do not come about easily but through the rough edges of the heavenly scalpel, shaping you into what God wants you to be.
Remember, brother and sister, that God is the Potter and we are the clay. The Potter has the choice and absolute power to do whatever he desires with the clay. He can break it, remold and reshape the vessel many times until it comes to the final expression of His ultimate desire. This is God with you and I in the process of spiritual transformation, refining us in order to take the dross out of our lives to bring out the shining bright gold. Without this long suffering and seemingly painful process, a beautiful work of art, like sculpture, painting or even a well baked cake can never be gotten. So, allow Him to pass you through fiery furnace; the test of fire and the test of faith. This is the only way you can show Him that you are worthy of His salvation, and be beautiful for his glory.

MORNING
- Father, turn me inside out and bring out the best in my life to Your glory, in the name of Jesus.
- Anything contending with the divine agenda for my life, give way now, in the name of Jesus.
- O God, arise and turn my pains to gains, in the name of Jesus.
EVENING
- My life shall testify of the goodness of God, in the name of Jesus.
- Inherited negative traits, I am not your candidate, release me and die, in the name of Jesus.
- O God, arise and prepare me adequately for Your service, in the name of Jesus.
- My life shall not be a disappointment to heaven, in the name of Jesus.
