The topic and Bible reference for John Hagee Daily Devotion for today 7th January 2025 is “1 Chronicles 29:11-12”

Today’s Scripture : 1 Chronicles 29:11-12

Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, the power and the glory, the victory and the majesty; For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, and You are exalted as head over all. Both riches and honor come from You, and You reign over all. In Your hand is power and might; In Your hand it is to make great and to give strength to all.

JOHN HAGEE DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE / SERMON FOR TODAY 7TH JANUARY 2025.

Henry Taylor wrote, “The world knows nothing of its greatest men.” We as a world have deceived ourselves as to what greatness really is. We’ve taken the character qualities that make for true greatness, and we’ve substituted superficial things that really aren’t great.

Fame may get people to notice you for a while, but it will not bring you character, and character is what’s required for greatness. Money may enable you to buy and fill your life with a lot of stuff, but what good is that if you’re too tormented to enjoy what money has bought you. Money will not buy you peace of mind because peace was bought with the price that Jesus paid as the Prince of peace. Power may cause people to respect or even fear you, but you’ll constantly struggle to gain and maintain it.

In our culture, we think fame is great…money is great…power is great. But in reality, those things are anything but great. If anything in your life is ever going to be considered great, it must be in touch with the only source of greatness, the Almighty God. He alone is the greatness, and He alone makes great.

Blessing
Father, bless us, keep us, and make Your face to shine upon us. In this financially volatile world, become a shield and a hedge of protection around every resource that belongs to the righteous. Establish Yourself through the promise of Your Word; that You are the giver of every good and perfect gift; that You can provide exceedingly abundantly above all that we could ask, think or imagine; that we, Your children, would know only the best of things as they come from the greatness of our God. We receive this blessing in Jesus’ mighty name.
