Today’s Word By Joel Osteen – 7th November 2026.
When Peter’s obedience to Jesus’ word to let down his nets led to a miraculous catch of fish, Peter was so awestruck by Jesus that he realized his own sinfulness and unworthiness to be near Jesus. Peter saw himself for what he was, a hot-tempered, loud, impulsive, rough fisherman who was full of flaws and shortcomings. Yet Jesus’ response was to call Peter to be His disciple. Jesus knew everything about Peter, the good and the bad, including his future failures. But He also knew what Peter could become. We judge people on the outside, but God looks inside. He knew Peter was an apostle in the making, the leader of the early church. He knew that Peter just had to be refined and worked with so he could discover who he really was.
God is saying to you what He said to Peter. “I will make you. It’s not just up to you. I’m going to change what needs changing. I’m going to breathe My freedom, My healing, My favor, My strength into you. I’m going to help you do what you can’t do on your own.”
PRAYER FOR TODAY – JOEL OSTEEN 7TH NOVEMBER 2026.
“Father, thank You that You see apostles in rugged fishermen like Peter. Thank You that You’re working in my life just as You did in Peter, and You will bring me to completion. I am looking beyond my flaws and failures to see the masterpiece in the making. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
