Today’s Word By Joel Osteen – 1st October 2026.
David was a teenager when the prophet Samuel came to his father’s house. David wasn’t seeking fame, power, or notoriety. He was seeking God, faithfully caring for his father’s sheep day after day, being his best when no one was watching in the shepherds’ fields where it was boring and lonely. None of the conditions said, “You’re about to be anointed king.” But on that day when Samuel knocked on David’s father’s door, he had been sent by God to anoint David as the next king of Israel. With that one knock on the door, David’s life was never the same.
I wonder who’s about to show up at your house. Who’s about to knock on your door? It may come through a Samuel, a divine connection, an unexpected phone call, or a good break that takes you from the background to the foreground, something you didn’t see coming. Keep God first place as David did. Do the right thing when it’s hard, say no to things that are pulling you down. Get ready for something unusual. You are coming into destiny moments.
PRAYER FOR TODAY – JOEL OSTEEN 1ST OCTOBER 2026.
Father, thank You that just one person, just one promotion, just one touch of Your favor can set my life on a brand-new course. Thank You that You open and close doors and make the right things happen for me on Your timetable. I believe that You are working out Your plan for my life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
