Today’s Word By Joel Osteen – 17th October 2026.

The apostle Paul had all kinds of people come against him. The Jewish scholars he grew up with hated and persecuted him because he became a follower of Jesus. As a missionary, on top of being beaten, imprisoned, and shipwrecked, he had to deal with criticism, slander, lies, being misunderstood and betrayed.

He finally came to a point where he said about the troublemakers, “From henceforth let no one trouble me.” He was saying, “I’ve been through too much to let any person get me upset and riled up. I’ve made up my mind that I’m not going to try to win their approval, not going to lose sleep over who’s trying to discredit me and not going to be bitter over who doesn’t like me.”

Every one of us needs to have a similar henceforth moment when we determine to stay in peace in spite of someone’s rudeness, insult, disrespect, or offense. You refuse to engage in conflict with them and let God fight your battles. You’re free to enjoy your life, to pursue your dreams, to become who God’s created you to be.

PRAYER FOR TODAY – JOEL OSTEEN 17TH OCTOBER 2026.

“Father, thank You that You didn’t create me to live upset and let other people get on my nerves and get me riled up. Help me to guard my heart and mind and leave issues with troublemakers in Your hands. I declare that I have Your peace that passes understanding. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

  2. 2. Strength in the Waiting: Lord, sustain my spirit during this season of darkness; help me to remain steadfast and expectant, knowing that You are working behind the scenes to bring my breakthrough. (Psalm 30:5)
  3. 3. Unwavering Trust: Heavenly Father, anchor my heart in the truth that You are on the throne, so that my peace is not determined by my surroundings but by Your unchanging character. (Isaiah 26:3)
