I did not know the Holy Spirit was a Person for many years. I read the scriptures; I even preached about the Holy Spirit, but the reality of His personhood only dawned on me once I was confronted with a personal encounter that proved beyond any shadow of a doubt that the Holy Spirit is a Person.

I was sitting in my room when suddenly, a brilliant white light filled all the space and transformed into the shape of a living Being. The Being sat across from me, then introduced Himself: “I am the Holy Spirit!” The Holy Spirit is not fire, wind, water, or a dove. Those are simply man’s limited attempts to capture His ways and effects. To represent Him as such is an insult. He is a Person with a distinct personality.

He is the one who opens your heart to the reality of who Jesus is. You can sit with Him, have lunch with Him, laugh with Him, and discuss your thoughts, plans, and ideas. You can ask Him questions about things you read in the Bible and do not understand. You can share your heart’s secrets with Him. There is no deeper life without a deeper relationship with the Holy Spirit.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION
In this year of Heaven on Earth, I will get to know Him as a Person and enjoy fellowship and friendship with God like never before! I am a friend of God.
