Pride is the lie you believe about yourself, and part of what makes pride so insidious is it cloaks itself under the guise of other “acceptable” things. For example, you will often hear people say things like, “I’m shy” or “I just don’t like to be out front. “I’d rather stay in the background.” These are all clever disguises for pride that are used to justify what is believed to be a lack of confidence. However, it is not a lack of confidence, rather it is the willingness to protect one’s own integrity rather than God’s integrity. Pride is an excuse for disobedience and a launching pad for rebellion.

It was pride that caused the devil to be ejected from the presence of God and made him the father of rebellion. Jesus, on the other hand, humbled Himself, and that humility became the catalyst for His obedience. He got out of His comfort zone and came to Earth, taking on the form of a servant (Philippians 2:7 KJV). He could not afford to be shy or timid. His assignment propelled Him into the forefront. Leave the playground of pride, and God will reveal His glorious intent through you for all the world to see!

PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I unveil the glory of God in me by removing every excuse for pride. I am not afraid of man’s opinion. I live to please God only, and my submission to Him makes me bold!
