GOODNEWS DAILY TEACHING BY UEBERT ANGEL 19TH OCTOBER 2024.
As sons and daughters of the risen Christ, we have been forever forgiven of all our transgressions! Despite this, many Christians still think forgiveness is something to be earned rather than freely given! The Bible tells us that you were cleansed of all sins the moment you accepted Christ as your Lord and Saviour. So, by refusing to forgive, you are living a life contrary to what God says the Christian life should look like and allowing bitterness to consume you.
In the Bible, we see several instances where we are shown the power of forgiveness. One instance is the Lord Jesus Christ, who, during persecution and torment, looked at those who wished to cause him harm and prayed for them, saying, “Father, forgive them!” In the same way as His children, we must do the same: forgive those who fight against us and pray for them.
The verse above tells us to forgive readily and freely, just as God has done for us! Today, if you have a grievance against someone, show the Love of God in you by forgiving them!
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I will not allow bitterness or grudges to consume me! Just as Christ forgave me, I will do the same to others. I received forgiveness freely and give it freely! Amen.
