DEEPER LIFE DAILY MANNA DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY
Daily Manna by Pastor Kumuyi is a daily devotional sets out to provide spiritual nourishment for the believers who truly seek God and would walk closely with Him.
The Topic of Deeper Life Daily Manna Devotional for 2ND February 2023 Is “The Future Glorious Reign of Christ “
Text: Micah 4:8-13
8 And thou, O tower of the flock, the strong hold of the daughter of Zion, unto thee shall it come, even the first dominion; the kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem.
9 Now why dost thou cry out aloud? is there no king in thee? is thy counsellor perished? for pangs have taken thee as a woman in travail.
10 Be in pain, and labour to bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in travail: for now shalt thou go forth out of the city, and thou shalt dwell in the field, and thou shalt go even to Babylon; there shalt thou be delivered; there the Lord shall redeem thee from the hand of thine enemies.
11 Now also many nations are gathered against thee, that say, Let her be defiled, and let our eye look upon Zion.
12 But they know not the thoughts of the Lord, neither understand they his counsel: for he shall gather them as the sheaves into the floor.
13 Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion: for I will make thine horn iron, and I will make thy hoofs brass: and thou shalt beat in pieces many people: and I will consecrate their gain unto the Lord, and their substance unto the Lord of the whole earth.
KEY VERSE: “And thou, O tower of the flock, the strong hold of the daughter of Zion, unto thee shall it come, even the first dominion; the kingdom shall come to the daughter of Jerusalem.” – (Micah 4:8)

DAILY MANNA FOR TODAY
The Bible is replete with the prophecies of the second coming and the glorious millennial reign of Christ after He has gathered His saints from the four corners of the world at rapture. The bliss and splendour of the reign will be unprecedented. It will be a reign of unspeakable peace and joy. A reign of comfort, justice and holiness that will not give room for any sin or any form of unrighteousness.
The text under consideration is a Messianic message of hope for a future era of universal peace during the Millennial reign of Christ. This prophecy points to the reign of Christ which will bring unprecedented peace among all those who follow and obey Him. It is a prophecy of hope for Israel in their restoration from captivity. Israel would go through the labour pains of captivity in order to come forth as a new nation that would be cleansed from sin and idolatry.
The prophecy is a metaphorical symbol of the redemption of Israel and indeed all men from their enemy and from the bondage of sin through the shedding of the precious blood of Christ on the cross at Calvary. The Jews would be assimilated into the spiritual Israel, the Church, through obedience to the gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
Satan and his agents will mobilise the forces of the world to resist Christ’s second coming to establish the millennial reign, just the same way he used Herod who tried to stop Christ’s first coming. This battle against Christ’s second coming is called the Battle of Armageddon (Revelation 19:11-21, 20:1-4). There will be a humiliating defeat and slaughter of the allied forces that the Antichrist will gather from all the nations of the earth.
Believers and unbelievers are to prepare for this great event. Sinners are to repent and come to Christ before the day of the Lord (John 3:3-5). Believers are to be watchful, prayerful, spotless and dutiful in soul-saving service for the Lord until He comes.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
All the armies of the world cannot halt a single divine purpose.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Matthew 10-11
