DAILY MANNA FOR TODAY
The truth about Christ as the Redeemer is subtly woven into the prophetic utterance of Caiaphas, the high priest.
Although he spoke out of malice and a wicked plot to kill Jesus, Caiaphas unknowingly became an instrument in God’s hand, foretelling the sacrificial death of Jesus, the Messiah.
His suggestion that one man should die for the people was, in fact, a divine prophecy that Jesus would die—not only for the Jewish nation—but for the entire world.
The Jewish religious leaders were deeply troubled when they heard about Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead. This miracle caused many people to believe in Him, which threatened the influence and authority of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
Though they could not deny the miracle or the many signs Jesus performed, they stubbornly refused to believe in Him. Instead, envy and fear of losing power drove them to conspire against Him.
Ironically, by plotting Jesus’ death, they unknowingly fulfilled God’s redemptive plan. Their actions reveal the danger of deliberate unbelief—rejecting clear truth to preserve personal interests and positions.
Sadly, the same attitude exists today. Many people reject the truth of Christ not because the evidence is lacking, but because accepting it would require humility, repentance, and surrender.
When confronted with the undeniable truth of Jesus as the only Saviour, some cling to false beliefs and opinions for selfish reasons.
Are you willing to admit the truth when God reveals it to you? Do not continue in deliberate rejection of Jesus, the only Messiah. The truth of Christ’s saving power is too clear to be denied. Believe in Him and experience the joy and blessing of belonging to Christ.
