DAILY MANNA FOR TODAY
Among the few celebrated historical figures who converted to Christianity was Constantine the Great, Roman Emperor from AD 306–337.
His conversion followed a dramatic encounter—reportedly a vision during a battle in AD 312—which led him not only to accept Christ but also to promote Christianity across the Roman Empire. His actions reflected a desire to prove the authenticity of his encounter with Christ.
In the Bible, Zacchaeus stands out as another remarkable example of someone who sought the Lord earnestly despite overwhelming obstacles. His short stature and the pressing crowd could not stop him.
Instead, he climbed a sycamore tree to catch a glimpse of Jesus as He passed through Jericho. Though despised by society as a tax collector and labeled “a sinner,” Zacchaeus received Christ’s attention and salvation because of his sincere hunger for forgiveness and transformation.
It is never in Christ’s nature to reject a truly repentant soul. He came specifically to seek and save the lost. Social status, public opinion, and past sins mean nothing when a heart turns humbly toward Him.
Zacchaeus’ willingness to forsake his wrong ways and acknowledge Jesus as Lord opened the door to redemption.
Those who have not yet experienced the mercy of Christ—or who have drifted away—can learn from Zacchaeus. Do not allow ridicule, shame, personal limitations, or societal pressures to keep you from seeking Jesus.
He is not influenced by gossip or public opinion. He knows every heart and lovingly welcomes all who come to Him in repentance and faith.
