ANGLICAN COMMUNION DAILY FOUNTAIN DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY.
The Topic of Daily Fountain Devotional for 7th December 2024 Is “Make Effort To Know More”
Read: Daniel 7: 15-22(NKJV)
15 “I, Daniel, was grieved in my spirit within my body, and the visions of my head troubled me.
16 I came near to one of those who stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me and made known to me the interpretation of these things:
17 ‘Those great beasts, which are four, are four kings which arise out of the earth.
18 But the saints of the Most High shall receive the kingdom, and possess the kingdom forever, even forever and ever.’
19 Then I wished to know the truth about the fourth beast, which was different from all the others, exceedingly dreadful, with its teeth of iron and its nails of bronze, which devoured, broke in pieces, and trampled the residue with its feet;
20 and the ten horns that were on its head, and the other horn which came up, before which three fell, namely, that horn which had eyes and a mouth which spoke pompous words, whose appearance was greater than his fellows.
21 I was watching; and the same horn was making war against the saints, and prevailing against them,
22 until the Ancient of Days came, and a judgment was made in favor of the saints of the Most High, and the time came for the saints to possess the kingdom.
ANGLICAN COMMUNION DEVOTIONAL OUTLINE FOR 7TH DECEMBER 2024.
People perish for lack of knowledge (Hosea 4: 6). Knowledge is the fact of knowing about something; it can be general understanding or familiarity with a subject, place or situation. The ability to know and study what is ambiguous or unclear is synonymous with the quest for knowledge.
Daniel had a dream in which he did not know the meaning and interpretation, so he became worried and troubled. In order to know the meaning, he sought for help from his close neighbour and enquired of the truth of the dream. He asked for the meaning of each and every one of the beasts.
Several passages of the bible may not be too clear to understand, except by the help of the Holy Spirit. Christians should endeavour to ask for knowledge to understand what God is speaking per time. “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him”(James 1:5). Daniel did not hesitate to ask others for insight and we must not also shy away from asking and studying to know more. We can know more by daily studying the word of God and praying deliberately for understanding (2 Tim. 2:15). May God grant us the understanding to know Him more clearly in Jesus’ name.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father; give me the grace to know your will for me and understand your purpose for my life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
The Anglican Communion is the fourth-largest Christian denomination. Founded in 1867 in London, England, the communion currently has 85 million members within the Church of England and other national and regional churches in full communion. {.…Read more...}
