ANGLICAN COMMUNION DEVOTIONAL OUTLINE FOR 5TH MARCH 2026.
In our reading today, Jesus called a socially unacceptable person, Levi the publican, into His fellowship of followers/servants. When the righteous questioned the merit of Jesus identifying with such a doer of evil, the Lord answered that He came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance (v.32).
Beloved, it isnot God’s intention that any should perish but that the sinner should come to Him in repentance. (Heb. 1:13). We are called from sin to the life of righteousness (1 Pet.2:9). Do you in any way, believe that you are most unworthy to be called by the Lord Jesus? Be assured that He loves you and desires to have you in the company of His beloved chldren. Like Levi, rise up and follow Him.
He will purify and justify you. When you answer and follow, He will make you a personality of delight and envy to others. Jesus will take away your old garments and clothe you with a new dress, and you will become a new vessel for the new wine.
PRAYER POINT: Lord Jesus, I respond today to your call. Accept me and use me to your glory. Amen.
