ANGLICAN COMMUNION DEVOTIONAL OUTLINE FOR 4TH MARCH 2026.
Sin simply means disobedience of God’s will. It comes from Satan (John 8:44), man’s heart (Matt. 15:19, 20), lust (James 1:15), etc. The consequence of sin is death (Rom. 6:23); it also brings about sickness, accidents, confusion, loss of peace, fruitlessness and demonic attacks.
Today in our text, we see the one, who became a paralytic because of sin. For his healing to take place, he needed the forgiveness of sin. And Jesus, seeing the faith of the man and those who struggled to bring him to Him, He had pity on them.
However, before giving the man total healing, Jesus first dealt with the root cause of his paralysis which was sin. Beloved, though all sicknesses do not result from sin, however, knowing, confessing, forsaking of sin and believing in Jesus will go a long way in bringing about our total healing. Let us open the ‘roof’ of our hearts and present ourselves before the Lord Jesus today. He will do it again for someone now and that person is you! Amen.
PRAYER POINT: Wash me completely from my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin, OLORD. Amen.
