1 Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord from the heavens; Praise Him in the heights!
2 Praise Him, all His angels; Praise Him, all His hosts!
3 Praise Him, sun and moon; Praise Him, all you stars of light!
4 Praise Him, you heavens of heavens, And you waters above the heavens!
5 Let them praise the name of the Lord, For He commanded and they were created.
6 He also established them forever and ever; He made a decree which shall not pass away.
7 Praise the Lord from the earth, You great sea creatures and all the depths;
8 Fire and hail, snow and clouds; Stormy wind, fulfilling His word;
9 Mountains and all hills; Fruitful trees and all cedars;
10 Beasts and all cattle; Creeping things and flying fowl;
11 Kings of the earth and all peoples; Princes and all judges of the earth;
12 Both young men and maidens; Old men and children.
13 Let them praise the name of the Lord, For His name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and heaven.
14 And He has exalted the horn of His people, The praise of all His saints– Of the children of Israel, A people near to Him. Praise the Lord!

ANGLICAN COMMUNION DEVOTIONAL OUTLINE  FOR 30TH SEPTEMBER 2024.

Today is St. Michael and All Angels (transferred). It is a day when we commemorate Angel Michael and all angels (Rev. 12: 7). In our text, the Psalmist tells us to praise the Lord. Angels and the heavenly hosts are also called on to praise God. The sun, moon, stars and waters above the heavens are also to praise the Lord who created them. The earth, sea creatures, clouds, mountains, hills, trees, animals, birds, humans, kings and princes are also called on to praise God. They should praise Him because His name is exalted and His glory is above all. It is very important to give praise to the Lord. Prophet Isaiah highlighted praising the Lord for his loving-kindness and great goodness to Israel (Isa. 53: 7).

Consider all the good things the Lord has done for you, your children, in your business and job. It’s possible you got promoted or got married. It could also be that you bought a new property or built a house this year. Who helped you get those things? Truly, you have many reasons to praise the Lord. Give God thanks and praise today for all He has done for you.

PRAYER: Heavenly Father; I prase and thank you for all you have done in my life today, Amen.
