ANGLICAN COMMUNION DEVOTIONAL OUTLINE  FOR 21ST JUNE 2024.

God instructed Noah to construct an ark because He was about to destroy the same man that he had created, from the face of the earth (Gen.6: 7). God gave Noah the specifications of the ark to be constructed and Noah did according to all that God commanded him (Gen. 6: 22). Though Noah preached to the people around him about the coming destruction, they did not heed his warning (2Peter 2:5). Over 100 years Noah preached righteousness but the people continued to be unrepentant and disobedient (Genesis 5: 32; 7: 11). Despite the lifestyle of the people, Noah walked with God (Genesis 6: 9).

Beloved, God wants us to walk with Him in obedience just as Noah did(v.5). What the Lord commands us as Christians in this present world is to go out and preach to all nations (Matt.28: 19) and warn our generation to repent and escape from the impending destruction coming upon the world (2Pet.3: 6-7). Whether they listen to us or not, our duty is to raise an alarm as watchmen. In our effort to preach to people, we must also make sure that our family is not left behind. That is our Jerusalem. In all, we must also note that our preaching is not only by words but also by the way we live.

PRAYER: Lord, give me the spirit of obedience in this last day. Amen
