Today’s Scripture Reference: 1 Samuel 3:1
“And the child Samuel ministered unto the Lord before Eli. And the word of the Lord was precious in those days; there was no open vision”
In the Old Testament, messages from God to the people were rare. His Spirit hadn’t yet been given to the general population, but God spoke to Samuel because Samuel’s heart was turned toward Him. We now have direct access to God through the Holy Spirit.
