Daily Mass Reading for Today Thursday 16 Th November 2023.
Ordinary Weekday/ Margaret of Scotland, Married Woman/ Gertrude the Great, Virgin, Religious
First Reading: Wisdom 7: 22b – 8: 1
22Â For in her is the spirit of understanding: holy, one, manifold, subtile, eloquent, active, undefiled, sure, sweet, loving that which is good, quick, which nothing hindereth, beneficent,
23Â Gentle, kind, steadfast, assured, secure, having all power, overseeing all things, and containing all spirits, intelligible, pure, subtile.
24 For wisdom is more active than all active things: and reacheth everywhere by reason of her purity.
25Â For she is a vapour of the power of God, and a certain pure emanation of the glory of the almighty God: and therefore no defiled thing cometh into her.
26 For she is the brightness of eternal light, and the unspotted mirror of God’s majesty, and the image of his goodness.
27Â And being but one, she can do all things: and remaining in herself the same, she reneweth all things, and through nations conveyeth herself into holy souls, she maketh the friends of God and prophets.
28Â For God loveth none but him that dwelleth with wisdom.
29Â For she is more beautiful than the sun, and above all the order of the stars: being compared with the light, she is found before it.
30Â For after this cometh night, but no evil can overcome wisdom.
8:1Â She reacheth therefore from end to end mightily, and ordereth all things sweetly.

135Â Make thy face to shine upon thy servant: and teach me thy justifications.
R. Your word is for ever, O Lord.

Gospel:Â Luke 17:Â 20-25
20Â And being asked by the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come? he answered them, and said: The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
21Â Neither shall they say: Behold here, or behold there. For lo, the kingdom of God is within you.
22Â And he said to his disciples: The days will come, when you shall desire to see one day of the Son of man; and you shall not see it.
23Â And they will say to you: See here, and see there. Go ye not after, nor follow them:
24Â For as the lightening that lighteneth from under heaven, shineth unto the parts that are under heaven, so shall the Son of man be in his day.
25Â But first he must suffer many things, and be rejected by this generation.
