2022 TEENS VOLUME RHAPSODY OF REALITIES – MESSAGE.

2 Kings 6 tells the amazing story of how Elisha was surrounded by a great army of chariots and horses from Syria. On several occasions, he had revealed to the king of Israel the Syrian king’s plans to ambush the Israelite army. Little wonder he had become a high-value target for the Syrian army.

The Bible records that, at night, they completely surrounded the city of Dothan, where Elisha lived with Gehazi, his servant, in a bid to capture them in a surprise raid. When Gehazi woke up early in the morning to see the army, he lamented: “Alas, my master!
What shall we do?” (2 Kings 6:15)?

Instead of freaking out, Elisha, being a man of the Spirit, said to him, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them” (2 Kings 6:16). How inspiring! He was calm because he was conscious that the heavenly army protecting him far outnumbered the army sent against him. His servant, however, was oblivious to this truth.

So Elisha prayed, “Lord, open his eyes that he may see,” and Gehazi saw the entire mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around. The surrounding army had themselves been surrounded! (2 Kings 6:17).

Always be mindful of your divine protection, because “As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds His people from this time forth and forever” (Psalm 125:2). There’s no need to be afraid. Remember what He says to you, “No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; for He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways” (Psalm 91:10-11). You’re divinely protected; praise God forevermore!
