Topic: Living In The End Time
Lesson No: 35
OPENING PRAYER: Father, please see me through the perilous time, keep me close to You and never allow me to derail.
MEMORY VERSE: This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. – 2 Timothy 3:1 (KJV)
BIBLE TEXT: 2 Timothy 3:1-8 (KJV)
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.

LESSON INTRODUCTION: We are warned that difficult times shall signal the last days. If we look around us today, it is very clear that we are indeed in the last days because all the signs listed by Apostle Paul are happening now. As children of God who have the hope of reigning with Jesus, we should not be ignorant of this fact and should not be caught unawares or carried away with the happenings around us.
LESSON AIM: To teach members how difficult the time we are now, but there are divine provisions.
TEACHING OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, members should learn that:
- They are to pass through the tribulation period.
- They should remain unspotted even when passing through this last days.
TEXT REVIEW: 2 Timothy 3:1-8
- To be Christian in this last days, it is going to be very difficult
- There will be many hardheaded and never give in to others
- There will be devil-inspired new doctrines to draw souls to hell.
LESSON OUTLINE ONE: DIFFICULT BUT A MUST
The last days will be difficult for believers because;
a. Ungodliness will be the order of the day.
b. There will be persecution for them and be resisted by men of corrupt minds. 2 Timothy 3:8, 12.
c. Disobedience will reign supreme, more liars and trouble makers. 2 Timothy 3:3.
d. Increase in church goers without having encountered the God of the church. 2 Timothy 3:5.
e. Truth will be resisted. 2 Timothy 3:8.
f. Evil thought will be on a large scale.
g. Love of money, getting rich quickly, will be dominant.
LESSON OUTLINE TWO: THERE ARE DIVINE PROVISIONS
God has provided everything that we need to successfully pass through the perilous times according to 2 Peter 1:4;
- Promise to save us from the lust and rottenness around us.
- To give us His own character.
- Ability to put out our own desires so as to become patient and godly.
- Grace to let God have His way in us.
- Ability to love others despite their unworthy attitudes.
- Living a holy life through the shed blood at Calvary.
- Impactful word of God that separates us from ungodly associates.
SUMMARY: There will be devil-inspired new doctrines to draw souls to hell.
CONCLUSION: The last days will be difficult for believers, but we need to understand that God has provided everything that will be needed to overcome.
PRAYER POINTS:
- Father, save us from the lust and rottenness around us.
- Father, enact in us Your own character
- Father, grant all believers’ divine ability to put out our own desires.
- Father, grant us grace to let God have His way in us.
- Father, infuse in all believers the ability to love others despite their unworthy attitudes.
GOLDEN DIET FOR THE WEEK
MONDAY: Do everything in your capacity to stop ungodliness in your environment.
TUESDAY: Be prepared to face persecution and resistance by men of corrupt minds.
WEDNESDAY: End time sign is an act of disobedience; it will reign supreme.
THURSDAY: In the last days, there will be an increase in church goers without having encountered the God of the church. 2 Timothy 3:5.
FRIDAY: Truth will be resisted, more liars and trouble makers will abound. 2 Timothy 3:8.
SATURDAY: Raise an altar against evil thoughts that are on a large scale.
SUNDAY: Combat getting rich quickly syndrome will prophetic declaration.
