Focus: The Crown of Righteousness
Scripture: “Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day.” – 2 Timothy 4:8
Reflection:
Paul, at the end of his journey, spoke confidently of a crown awaiting him. This crown is not for apostles alone but for all who love Christ’s appearing. The Christian life is a race requiring endurance, discipline, and faithfulness. Rewards await those who finish well, who keep the faith, and who remain steadfast. The crown of righteousness symbolizes eternal honor, victory, and approval from the righteous Judge. While salvation is a gift, rewards are earned through faithfulness. This perspective motivates believers to persevere through trials, to remain holy, and to labor diligently for the kingdom. Earthly crowns fade, but this crown is eternal. Live daily with the assurance that your labor is not in vain, and that Christ Himself will reward you at His coming.
Prayer Point: Lord, help me to fight the good fight, finish my course, and keep the faith till I receive the crown of righteousness.
Inspiring Quote: “Only one life, ’twill soon be past; only what’s done for Christ will last.” – C.T. Studd
