Focus: The Joy of the Lord
Scripture: “The joy of the LORD is your strength.” – Nehemiah 8:10
Reflection:
Joy is not dependent on circumstances but flows from a relationship with God. The people of Israel, after hearing the law, wept in conviction, but Nehemiah reminded them that their strength came from joy in the Lord. Unlike happiness, which is fleeting and circumstantial, joy is deep, unshakable, and rooted in God’s presence. Joy empowers you to endure trials, to worship in difficulty, and to remain hopeful in uncertainty. The enemy often targets joy because he knows that a joyless believer is a weak believer. Guard your joy by staying in God’s presence, feeding on His Word, and maintaining a grateful heart. Let joy overflow in your worship, work, and relationships. In a season of celebration like December, let the joy of the Lord be evident in your life.
Prayer Point: Father, let Your joy fill my heart and be my strength in every season of life.
Inspiring Quote: “Joy is not the absence of suffering, it is the presence of God.” – Elisabeth Elliot

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened…YOUR FATHER WHO IS IN HEAVEN GIVE GOOD THINGS TO THOSE WHO ASK HIM!
