The Topic of MFM (Mountain Top Life) Daily Devotional for 9th March 2025 Is ”Winning Life’s Battles”.

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Numbers 11:24-13:33; Mark 14:22-52; Psalm 52:1-9; Proverbs 11:1-3

FIRE SCRIPTURE: 1 Samuel 1:11-20 (KJV)

11 And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.
12 And it came to pass, as she continued praying before the LORD, that Eli marked her mouth.
13 Now Hannah, she spake in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard: therefore Eli thought she had been drunken.
14 And Eli said unto her, How long wilt thou be drunken? put away thy wine from thee.
15 And Hannah answered and said, No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit: I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD.
16 Count not thine handmaid for a daughter of Belial: for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief have I spoken hitherto.
17 Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of him.
18 And she said, Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight. So the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad.
19 And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the LORD, and returned, and came to their house to Ramah: and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the LORD remembered her.
20 Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the LORD.

MEMORY VERSE: Psalm 55:22 (KJV)
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE: Life is an adventure in challenges. It is normal to be challenged, but it is unscriptural to be defeated

PRAISE AND WORSHIP:
Take praise and worship songs as led by the Holy Spirit.

PROPHETIC WORD FOR TODAY:
As you examine yourself today, the Lord shall perfect His work in your life, in the name of Jesus.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Sunday 9th March 2025.

A battle is an extended contest, struggle, or controversy. It is a struggle to succeed or survive. It could also be a combat between two persons, two nations or more. Winning is the act of subduing another. It is to be successful, especially in a competition.

What are life’s battles? These are unpleasant experiences in one’s life capable of affecting or totally terminating one’s joy, peace, education, career, business, marriage, ministry, destiny, etc. Life’s battles are no respecters of persons, age, gender or background. This means they do not discriminate, but happen to all and sundry – young and old, rich and poor, black and white, men and women, educated and illiterate. They can come in form of sickness, poverty, barrenness, failure, delay, affliction, oppression, chronic poverty, etc.

Life’s battles do not give prior notice. They can come at any time or stage of one’s life – morning, afternoon or night. Some people’s battles come very early in life; that is, morning. Some other people’s battles come during their mid-life stage which can be referred to as the afternoon. Yet, others experience their own battles at old age, which is the night.

How then can one win life’s battles? Life’s battles are real, but they do not last forever. Therefore, it is very important to maintain the right attitude towards them. You must refuse to look at the magnitude of the battles; instead, focus on God and magnify Him. When you focus on the battle rather than on God, doubt, fear, worry, anxiety, discouragement and a whole lot of negative reactions will set in and you may make wrong decisions which will in turn compound the situation rather than ameliorate it. Do not despair, but be focused and patient. If you are yet to accept Jesus as Lord and Saviour, do so now. Study and meditate on God’s word. Commune with God regularly in prayer, and, as much as possible, live a holy life.
