“But many that are first shall be last; and the last shall be first.”
I serve a God who can transform a nobody into a somebody in the blink of an eye. Each time I remember how my father was mocked by his poor friends—who called him the poorest man in our town—I wish they were alive today to witness what God has done.
By His amazing grace, God is now using me to help some of the children and grandchildren of those who once insulted my father.
Joseph experienced this same kind of divine turnaround. Sold into slavery by his own brothers, falsely accused of a crime he didn’t commit, and thrown into prison without anyone to defend him, Joseph appeared forgotten. Yet God had not forgotten him.
Through Joseph’s faithfulness and the special gift God gave him—interpreting dreams—he received a presidential-level pardon. In just one day, Joseph moved from prison to the palace, becoming the second most powerful man in Egypt.
My dear child, your greatness does not depend on the approval of people. The enemy may try to slow down your progress, but he cannot stop God’s plan for your life. Like Joseph:
Avoid sin
Stay diligent
Keep developing your gifts
Trust God’s timing
When your appointed time comes, God will lift you in a way that will surprise the world.
ACTION POINT:
Avoid sin and be diligent in all you do, and God will promote you at the appointed time.
