TREM DEVOTIONAL FOR 16TH MARCH 2025

According to the scripture, Jesus needed to go through Samaria (John 4:4). Jesus went to that very well and waited for her because He knew that this woman was worth much more than the devil had made of her. And when she came, Jesus said, give me water to drink. This sounded strange; Jesus was asking for water from a prostitute? Grace reached out to the woman and not judgment. Remember that this woman had been used by other men, but Jesus came to her and said even though they see you as a prostitute, I still see that there is something good in you. Give me water to drink, and then, a discussion ensued.

It was at that point Jesus said to her, go and bring your husband. Jesus did not say, you prostitute, don’t you know who I am? Instead, He said, where is your husband? She said, I have no husband. Jesus said, you have had five and the one you are with is not your husband. The woman lowered her guard immediately. She said to herself, if this man knows me so perfectly well and still reached out to me, then I can trust him. Jesus ministered to her. She left the place immediately and she started ministering to others.

The fruit of forgiveness was produced immediately because Grace reached out to her. When you receive grace, it will produce the fruit of righteousness. Don’t try to produce fruit, without first receiving the gift of grace because you will always fail.
