Trust is like a delicate thread—it takes time to weave, but it can unravel in a moment. One of the most valuable qualities you can develop in life is trustworthiness. In friendships, family relationships, school, and even your walk with God, trust matters a lot.

To earn and keep trust, you must develop honesty and strong moral character. When you are truthful and dependable, people know they can rely on you. Trust often begins with small actions: showing up when you say you will, keeping your promises, completing assignments honestly, and telling the truth even when it feels uncomfortable.

These daily choices gradually build a solid foundation of trust.

Some ways to show that you are trustworthy include being punctual, following through on commitments, keeping secrets, and remaining loyal to your friends. However, while trying to live right, mistakes can happen.

If you make a mistake that affects others, do the right thing—admit it quickly, apologise sincerely, ask for forgiveness, and take steps to correct it. This shows maturity and integrity.

Be careful not to destroy people’s trust through lies, betrayal, gossip, or neglect. Rebuilding broken trust is often harder and takes longer than earning it in the first place. That is why protecting the trust others place in you is just as important as working to earn it.

Remember, God values faithfulness. As a child of God, you should aim to be someone others—and God—can trust.
