“Honour the LORD with your possessions, and with the firstfruits of all your increase.”
Your money, talents, and opportunities are gifts from God, and how you manage them reflects how much you trust Him. Today’s memory verse teaches us to honour God with our possessions. This means setting aside a portion of your income, allowance, or cash gifts for tithes and offerings before spending on anything else.
Sadly, some teenagers become overly focused on money and are consumed by the desire to get rich quickly. The Bible warns us that the love of money can lead people into serious trouble (1 Timothy 6:10).
Because of this, some youths waste their resources on gambling, sports betting, or risky “get-rich-quick” schemes. These choices often lead to regret and financial loss rather than true prosperity.
God desires that you become a good steward of every resource He places in your hands. Instead of wasting money, learn to handle it wisely—save where possible and invest thoughtfully.
However, it is important to seek guidance from trusted adults or professional financial advisors before making investment decisions. Above all, honour God by faithfully paying your tithes and giving offerings. When you do this, you are storing up treasures in heaven, where nothing can destroy them (Matthew 6:19–21).
