TREM DEVOTIONAL FOR 30TH JANUARY 2025
It is possible for somebody to say sincerely that he wants to live for God. He can emphasize it that he will do everything he can to live for God. He will discipline himself and pay the price to live for God. He will fast, do this and that for God. While all of these things are good, I will like to let you know that you must first and foremost live from God, to be able to relate with Him well. When you live from Him then it becomes easy to live for Him, because your life begins from Him. This takes away the burden from you. This is actually what gives you rest. Remember that you are called to rest in what the death, burial and resurrection of Christ accomplished on your behalf.
An attempt to live for God by our ability, is the reason why a lot of us are still struggling. John 15:4 (KJV) tells us, “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.” As a believer, it is by dwelling in Him, that we are able to live for Him and bear Godly fruits. Sit at His feet and let Him direct you on how to navigate through this life successfully. He says, He will guide you along the best pathway for your life (Psalms 32:8 NLT)
“Your word is like a lamp that guides my steps, a light that shows the path I should take.” (Psalms 119:105 ERV) By His Word, He teaches you how to live for Him, so that you don’t have to struggle with your Christian walk. His Word reveals your identity in Christ, and when there is a revelation, you cannot but live it out, because that’s who you are, every other thing contrary to that is hypocrisy, because it is not in line with who God says you are.
Child of God, get into the Word, and let the Word order your life, so that you can truly be all that God has ordained for you to be.
