SEEDS OF DESTINY MESSAGE FOR TODAY 11TH OCTOBER 2025
One of the most tragic accounts in the whole of the Bible is the story of Lot and his family.
The tragedy of Lot was the tragedy of a man who moved from destiny to becoming history. It was such a horrifying tragedy for Lot to lose his wife, who was turned into a pillar of salt.
Lot moved from the realm of fame to the realm of shame. It was shameful for him to be ordered out of Sodom and Gomorrah without carrying a penny. It was also very shameful for him to have slept with his two daughters, who eventually gave birth to the two bastard generations of Ammonites and Moabites.
Now, what could be the reason for such a tragedy?
In our study today, we shall examine one of the tragedies of Lot that hindered him from becoming a generational blessing, and that is the ERROR OF DISCONNECTION
The worst thing that can happen to anyone is to disconnect from their God-ordained destiny relationship. When God connects you and you disconnect yourself, you will remain discontented for life. It is crucial to note that you may not need everyone, but there are people you need to succeed in life. There are connections or relationships that are critical to your destiny, and your greatest wisdom is to identify such people that God has brought your way and stick to them.
The relationship or connection between Lot and Abraham, the Blessed, was a typical example of such destiny-impacting connections.
Beloved, when you disconnect from your root, you discontinue with your fruit. To forget your origin is to forfeit your destiny. Lot thought that it was possible to continue to succeed in life without maintaining his connection with Abraham. But it is not possible to have the electric fan running after removing its cable from the power socket. The fan may be turning slowly, but it will stop eventually. Lot disconnected from Abraham, his destiny helper, and lost his place in life. He separated from the source of his blessing and encountered a climate of dryness; everything he had disappeared in one day.
There are those who disconnect from God and became stranded and wasted. The truth is, a person can disconnect from man and survive, but to disconnect from God, Jehovah El-shaddai is to end as a disaster. That is, someone was a nonentity, and God turned him into a some-entity, and then, he begins to use the money God gave him to sponsor iniquity. That is disaster waiting to happen; his life and destiny will be decapitated in a hurry.
Beloved, please never disconnect from your root. Never come to the point where your prosperity or authority is beyond your spirituality and humility. Your source determines your success. It is your source that determines your survival and sustenance in life.
REMEMBER THIS: To forget your origin is to forfeit your destiny.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
- Value the people that God used to give you bearing and direction in life.
- Refuse to dishonour or disrespect the people that God used to raise you.
- Avoid the company of those who dishonour spiritual authority.
PRAYER:
Lord, I receive the grace to value spiritual authorities. I take my place in destiny as I remain connected to my root, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
