SEEDS OF DESTINY MESSAGE FOR TODAY 7TH MAY 2026
The Scripture makes it clear that vision is a major secret of durability of life. People of vision are durable people. Men and women of vision are not easily cut short before their time, provided they live uprightly in pursuit of godly visions.
In today’s study, we shall see examples of those who were preserved by the power of vision.
1. Abraham: Abraham was a man of vision. In Genesis 13:14-15, the Bible says, “And the Lord said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.”
So, God made Abraham see the picture of the future for his possession, and Abraham followed that life of vision. Today, we see the land of Israel as a tangible manifestation and proof of that vision.
And how durable was Abraham?
The durability of Abraham was revealed in Genesis 25:7-8: “And these are the days of the years of Abraham’s life which he lived, an hundred threescore and fifteen years. Then Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age, an old man, and full of years; and was gathered to his people.”
Abraham lived for 175 years, then he gave up the ghost. He died in good old age, not bad old age. He died as an old man full of years, not empty of years.
2. Joseph: You cannot talk about vision without talking about Joseph.
In Genesis 37:3-9, Joseph was hated by his brethren to the point that they sold him into slavery. But that could not stop him; the vision came to pass as he became the prime minister of Egypt, and they all came and bowed before him just as he saw in the vision.
It is important to note that vision was also responsible for the durability of Joseph – Genesis 50:25-26.
Joseph passed through all manner of things; everything that could have cut his life short, but he was not killable because there was a vision in him that must come to pass.
Beloved, a man or a woman of vision is not easily wastable. You cannot cut them short before their time. Hold onto the vision, irrespective of whatever the devil says or does. If they cannot take your vision, they cannot take your future.
REMEMBER THIS: Men and women of vision are not easily cut short before their time.
ASSIGNMENT(S):
