SEEDS OF DESTINY MESSAGE FOR TODAY 12TH FEBRUARY 2025
It has been firmly established that godly character is a foundation for spiritual boldness and authority. Proverbs 28:1 says: “The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.” It is true, Godly character produces audacity and boldness comparable to that of a lion. In John 14:30, Jesus said: “Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.” Jesus essentially declared, The prince of this world is powerless against me because he has no claim over me. I carry none of his properties. (John 14:30 paraphrased). This underscores a vital truth: maintaining spiritual authority and boldness requires a life of uprightness and integrity. The story of Joshua the high priest in Zechariah 3:1-3 highlights the consequences of a compromised life. Joshua’s authority was undermined because he wore filthy garments, and Satan stood at his side to resist him. This shows that a lack of godly character can expose a person to spiritual vulnerability and resistance. To live a life that is free from spiritual risk, one must ensure their faith remains alive and active. The just shall live by faith, but this faith thrives on a clear conscience—being void of offence towards both God and man.
I once heard a story of passengers on board an aircraft that encountered severe turbulence. Being afraid that the plane was about to crash, one man began confessing his evil deeds. His guilty conscience overwhelmed him. Interestingly, the plane did not crash, and so the man had to live with the consequences of his confessions. This story underscores the power of clear conscience. A person with no hidden guilt or offence can face life’s challenges boldly and confidently. Therefore, make up your mind to maintain uprightness and integrity in your life. Keep your heart clear before God and man. Let your character support your faith so you can stand with boldness and authority in any situation.
Remember this: Maintaining spiritual authority and boldness requires a life of uprightness and integrity.
