SEEDS OF DESTINY MESSAGE FOR TODAY 8TH FEBRUARY 2025
The Scripture makes it clear that testimony is a dimension of praise. Giving testimonies is an expression of praise. Psalm 105:1-2 says: O give thanks unto the Lord; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works. You praise God by sharing your testimonies—declaring His works and deeds amidst His people. Psalm 150:1-2 adds: Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. Giving testimonies is a way of praising God in His sanctuary among the brethren. It involves publicly acknowledging His mighty acts and sharing His faithfulness in your life.
For example, when you stand in the congregation and say, “I am here to appreciate God and praise Him for what He has done for me,” you are offering praise to God. This was the same attitude that David displayed when he confronted Goliath. David openly declared God’s faithfulness and past victories, using his testimony as an instrument of praise and faith. 1 Samuel 17:34-37 says: And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock:
And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him. Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.
David said moreover, The Lord that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. David openly shared his testimony of God’s past deliverance, not only as a declaration of praise but also as a demonstration of faith in God’s ability to deliver him again. Beloved, when you give testimonies of God’s goodness in the congregation of the saints, you are praising God. Testimonies are a powerful expression of gratitude and acknowledgment of God’s mighty acts. My counsel is, refuse to hide the acts of God in your life. Proclaim His deeds in the sanctuary and give Him the praise He deserves.
Remember this: Giving testimonies is a way of praising God in His sanctuary, among the brethren.
ASSIGNMENT:
- Refuse to hide the acts of God in your life.
- Always proclaim the goodness and faithfulness of God in your life.
PRAYER: Father, I thank You for Your good works in my life. I receive the grace to declare Your Works in the congregation of the saints, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
