SEEDS OF DESTINY MESSAGE FOR TODAY 7TH FEBRUARY 2025

It has been confirmed that one of the key forces behind effective prayer is passion and fervency of heart. For prayer to be answered, it must be offered with fervency and passion. James 5:16 says: “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” This Scripture makes us understand that prayer must be fervent, passionate, and effectual to produce results. Romans 12:11 further underscores this principle: “Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord.”

Now, what Is Passionate Prayer?

Passionate prayer is prayer offered with intensity, seriousness, and focus. It is not necessarily about shouting or physically shaking, but about the spiritual force and energy behind the prayer. Passionate prayer carries weight in the spiritual realm.

Example: Hannah’s Prayer

Hannah’s prayer in 1 Samuel 1:11-13 is a vivid example of passionate, intense and spirit-filled prayer:
“And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head. And it came to pass, as she continued praying before the LORD, that Eli marked her mouth. Now Hannah, she spake in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard: therefore Eli thought she had been drunken.” Hannah’s prayer was not loud or dramatic but filled with deep spiritual intensity and force. It was the kind of prayer that moved heaven, and as a result, it secured divine attention. Always understand that passionate, fervent prayer is prayer that carries spiritual vigour. It is focused, intense, and serious, producing powerful results. If you desire answers to your prayers, ensure they are offered with fervency and passion.

Remember this: Passionate prayer is prayer offered with intensity, seriousness, and focus.
