2025 TEENS VOLUME RHAPSODY OF REALITIES – MESSAGE.

A young man gave his life to Christ during a crusade, and his transformation was immediate. He quit drugs, changed his lifestyle, and began preaching.

Everyone marveled at the dramatic change. However, months later, he drifted away from church and returned to his old habits. But, one day, a message stirred his heart again, and he turned back to God in repentance.

This time, he built his life on the Word, grew stronger in faith, and became a steadfast witness of Christ’s transforming power. Even though he had genuinely encountered the Holy Spirit the first time, he backslid because he wasn’t rooted and grounded in the Word of God.

And, like Saul in the Bible, he couldn’t sustain what the Spirit had started in him. In 1 Samuel 10, we read how Saul, the son of Kish, was gloriously transformed by the Spirit of God.

He was told by the prophet Samuel: “Then the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you, and you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man” (1 Samuel 10:6 NKJV).

When Saul turned to leave Samuel, the Bible says God gave him another heart, and he began to prophesy among the prophets. What a miracle—that a man could receive another heart instantly by the power of the Holy Spirit!

Yet, by 1 Samuel 15—just five chapters later—God said to Samuel, “I greatly regret that I have set up Saul as king, for he has turned back from following Me, and has not performed My commandments” (1 Samuel 15:11 NKJV).

Saul had stopped listening to God’s Word. 1 Chronicles 10:13-14 tells us that Saul died for his transgressions—specifically for disobeying God’s Word and consulting a familiar spirit instead of seeking the Lord.

His miraculous transformation didn’t last because he didn’t stay with the Word.
So, be wise. Sustain the work and the transformation the Holy Spirit brings into your life by staying grounded in the Word.

Be a doer of the Word (James 1:22). What God begins in you is meant to last and grow into ever-increasing glory— but it only happens as you continue in the Word.
