The Topic of Teens Rhapsody of Realities for Today 3rd September 2025 Is “Confessions Of The Word”

To The Bible: Romans 10:9–10

“…If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

2025 TEENS VOLUME RHAPSODY OF REALITIES – MESSAGE.

The word “confession” in the verses above is translated from the Greek word ‘homologeo’, which means “to speak the same thing in consent.” This is covenant confession—that is, a confession that is based on agreement. Many Christians associate “confession” only with sin. They go before the priest to “confess” their sins. That’s not what Paul is teaching here. Romans 10:9-10 enlightens us that salvation isn’t received by confession of sins or wrongdoings but by covenant confession. Remember that God made a covenant with Abraham, and the Bible says, ““… if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” (Galatians 3:29). That means, even though we’re essentially not in covenant with God, we’re the heirs or beneficiaries of that covenant.

Every time you make the right confessions, God responds because your words are in agreement with His Word. When you declare, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ” (2 Corinthians 5:21), you’re speaking in consent with His Word, and it’s established. Here’s another scripture where the same Greek word (homologeo) was used: Hebrews 13:15, and it says, “Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.”

A better rendering reads: “…the fruit of our lips, making confessions to His Name.” Here, the Spirit of God, through the writer, is referring to confessions that are of praise—confessions that carry thanksgiving. Your confession must be based on what’s in the document —which is the Word of God.

PRAY

Blessed Father, I rejoice in the reality that my words, in agreement with your Word, bring about salvation, healing, deliverance, prosperity, abundance and wholeness. I continually offer the sacrifice of praise, making confessions to your Name, knowing that my life is anchored on your truth. I acknowledge and declare that Jesus is Lord over all; He’s the God of all flesh, with whom nothing is impossible.
