RHAPSODY OF REALITIES DEVOTIONAL FOR TODAY WEDNESDAY 18TH NOVEMBER 2026.
The Christian life isn’t meant to be lived from the standpoint of the flesh or the senses. The two verses preceding our opening scripture say, “So then, brethren, we are debtors, but not to the flesh [we are not obligated to our carnal nature], to live [a life ruled by the standards set up by the dictates] of the flesh. For if you live according to [the dictates of] the flesh, you will surely die…” (Romans 8:12-13 AMPC). God didn’t call you to live or see life merely from the natural plane or respond to circumstances according to sensory perceptions.
Through the Holy Spirit, you’ve been brought into a higher realm where you can see things God’s way, think His thoughts, and judge all things from the vantage point of His Word. Many Christians struggle because they continue to evaluate life with natural reasoning. But life is spiritual and man is a spirit as God is a Spirit. Therefore, we’re called to live the Spirit-filled life. The Holy Spirit elevates your perception. He opens your eyes to realities beyond the senses and enables you to discern God’s thoughts, purpose, perfect will, and direction in every situation.
The Bible says, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God” (Romans 8:14). The Holy Spirit doesn’t merely direct your steps; He transforms the way you think and perceive. He enables you to see what others don’t see, hear what others don’t hear, and understand Kingdom realities in a way that you can put them to work in your life. No wonder the Bible says, “…But we have the mind of Christ” (1 Corinthians 2:16). Through the Holy Spirit, you’ve been given the capacity to think in agreement with God.
This higher perspective changes everything: Challenges no longer intimidate you because you see them as opportunities to manifest the glory of God and as platforms for your promotion. Through fellowship with the Holy Spirit and meditation on the Word, your spiritual perception becomes sharper, and your life increasingly reflects God’s wisdom, excellence, and victory. The limitations that discourage others no longer define your expectations. 1 John 4:4 says, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” As your mind is continually yielded to the greater One who lives in you, you rise and glide gloriously over and above the corrupting influences of this world. Choose to live from this higher plane. Glory to God!
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for giving me the Holy Spirit, who opens my eyes to your truths and enables me to see life from your perspective. My thoughts are aligned with your Word, and I’m continually guided by your wisdom. I see beyond the natural realm and walk in your truth and perfection, manifesting your glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
