Goodnews Daily 8th September 2025 – The Trap Of A Closed Hand

Hunters in some parts of the world use a simple but effective method to catch monkeys. They place a piece of food inside a small container with an opening just big enough for the monkey’s hand to slip through. Once the monkey grabs the food, its clenched fist is too large to pull back out. Freedom is just a matter of letting go, but the monkey refuses, trapped by its own unwillingness to release what’s in his hand. Many Christians live the same way, holding tightly to what they have, afraid to release it.

The Bible makes it clear God’s hand is open to bless us (Psalm 145:16). Since we are made in His image, we too must learn to open our hands. Generosity is the key to abundance. The more we release, the more room we create for God’s supply. Escape the trap of stinginess! Trust that as you give freely, you align yourself with Heaven’s flow, freeing you from poverty and releasing blessings beyond measure.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION
I decree and declare: I am a cheerful giver, and my hands are open to both release and receive! I break free from the trap of stinginess and step into supernatural abundance. As I sow generously, I reap generously, and my life overflows with God’s blessings!
