Could it be if you don’t rise up and put a stop to what’s hindering you, then generations from now, your family will still be struggling with it? God is saying, “This is your time. This is your moment.” Your destiny is calling out to you. You can either put up with it and let it conquer you or you can put your foot down and say, “No, I’m going to put a stop to what’s holding us back. I’m going to deal with this addiction, this anger, this compromise, this depression. I’m not going to let my history keep me from my destiny.”
God is saying, “Keep Me first place in your life.” When you wake up in the morning, don’t meet with anyone until you first meet with God. Take time to thank Him for the day, thank Him for who He is, thank Him that He’s the giver of all good things. He’s your protector, your provider, your healer, your way-maker. All through the day, under your breath, you can talk to God. “Lord, thank You for watching over my children. Thank You for helping me at work. Thank You for giving me wisdom.” The Scripture says, “If you’ll acknowledge God in all your ways, He’ll crown your efforts with success.”
