“When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.”
Reflection:
Compassion is the ability to see the needs of others and to respond with kindness and care. Jesus modeled perfect compassion, always being attentive to the suffering and needs of those around Him. As we reflect on His birth and His life, we are encouraged to cultivate a heart of compassion, especially during this season. Compassion moves us to action, helping us to be the hands and feet of Jesus in a hurting world.
PRAYER FOR TODAY 12TH DECEMBER 2024.
Prayer: Lord, give me a heart of compassion, like that of Jesus. Help me to see the needs of those around me and to respond with kindness and love. Thank you for your compassion toward me, and may I reflect that same compassion to others. Use me to bring comfort and care to those who are hurting. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
