Focus: A Prayer for Compassion

Scripture Reference: Matthew 9:36

“When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.”

Reflection:

Compassion is a reflection of God’s heart for humanity. It is the ability to see the needs and struggles of others and to respond with love and care. Jesus modeled compassion throughout His ministry, reaching out to those who were hurting, lost, or in need. As followers of Christ, we are called to have compassion for others, to see them through the eyes of Christ and to respond with kindness and empathy. Compassion is an act of love that brings healing and hope to those who are suffering.
