It’s interesting; God could have chosen someone that matched up much better with Goliath. He could have chosen the soldier who was the most skilled, most trained, or the biggest and strongest. Then, it would be a much fairer fight: two champions competing. But notice how God works.
David had all the odds against him. It didn’t make sense. If David would have only looked at it from a logical point of view, we wouldn’t be talking about him. But David understood this principle that he was created to defy the odds. There are levels of your destiny that you cannot reach without being outnumbered and over your head.
