God will always give us opportunities to make a course correction. He doesn’t hold our faults against us. He doesn’t say, “You’ve made too many mistakes. Now you’re done.” But there will come a time when that window of grace will close, when if you’re not going to be responsible with the gifts, the favor, the opportunity, God will force things to change. It doesn’t mean you’re not going to have another chance, but He’s not going to let you stay off course and be comfortable. Just ask Jonah, sitting in the belly of a whale.
Paul said in Galatians, “I do not frustrate the grace of God.” God will never run out of grace, never run out of mercy, but if you take it for granted, it may not be there in the same way.
