You can’t control people. You can’t make them do what’s right. Every time you let it upset you, you’re giving them your power. Do yourself a favor; quit letting what they say ruin your day. Quit allowing people with issues—that are angry, bitter, insecure—determine how you’re going to live. You are responsible for your own happiness. If you’re depending on what other people do to determine whether or not you’re going to be happy, you’re going to spend a lot of days unhappy. Why don’t you make up your mind, “I’m going to enjoy this day despite what comes against me.” “Joel, this person at work gets on my nerves.
